I made my fourth purchase from etsy today! :) Not for me, but still very exciting! (My third purchase of happy yellow shoes that I ordered last month came while I was home in Maryland. So I had one class today. I'm now waiting to meet up with Eric and Jenny at which point we will hit up two wine and cheese events (and skip the preceding talks, hehe). So, I skipped class today. I only had two anyway...one is recorded (and we just had our midterm exam on Monday) and the other is not very informative. I've had a slow beginning to the day - I organized my school papers, went to Pharmaprix to buy soap and stuff, got a magazine to read when I finish programming. It was nice. CBC News just reported that Rudy Giuliani's campaign was "flailing like a dinosaur in a tar pit" as the polls opened in Florida today. And after stating that if he won in Florida, he'd win the majority of the rest of the states....except he didn't win Florida. McCain did. My sister waited three hours and fifteen minutes to be one of 6000 people gathering at American University to hear Obama speak, along with plugs by the remaining Kennedy's. She ended up in the 'standing room only' space right up near the stage! Cool ( Read more... ) -

I made berry clafouti today. I just took it out of the oven. I noticed about half an hour into the bake time that there was an awful lot of butter in the glass baking dish. When I took it out, there were still pools of butter; I decided to check the recipe again. Turns out I used twice as much butter as I was supposed to. I literally just poured ( Read more... ) -
