Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention, everyone who wants to participate meets by the fountain in order to get their armbands for team membership-type things.

I've found that that's probably the best route when Haruhi is involved with something. You might as well just take it as it comes.

How's this game played, exactly?

Uhm, it's pretty much exactly how it sounds. There's two teams and each has a flag and the point of the game is for one team to capture the opposing team's flag and get it back to their team's base before the other team does. Is that helpful?
