I left the others in the lobby of the hotel, spouting their theories around. There were better sources to tap, and I was about to call one of them. Not that thought Giles would know better, but it was good to have someone to talk to and exchange idea's with. Hell, for all we knew this was only happening in Los Angeles. But something told me it wasn ( Read more... )

It had been a late night again, observing Buffy patrol. And of course I'm no longer the youngest around here. Even though it pains me to admit. Not, mind you that I ever was the youngest, but still. I really ought to train more. Perhaps I should pick up my morning jogs again. I've no idea why I'm not doing those anymore, I guess time got in the way ( ... )

Oh dear lord, that had been terribly rude of me. I'd assumed he knew it was me calling by the sound of my voice. But it wasn't as though I called him daily. Hell, I hardly called him once per month. Usually when one of us had a problem. Which would be the case right now ( ... )

Call him by his name? I'd rather not call him Rupert. That only clearly indicates disrespect. I mean, he has much more experience the I do, and he's a more esteemed watcher and... And I'm not about to call him 'Giles'. I'm not one of those bloody children.

"With all due respect, Mister Giles," I sighed, pushing up my glasses. "I really think it shows of great disrespect to call you by your name. Errr...either of them."

I could hear him moving around as I sat back in my chair. As I glanced out of the window in the door, I could see the others still standing outside. Obviously that discussion wasn't nearing an end any time soon. When Giles finally spoke, I let out a sigh that was a mixture between relief and nerves.

"Exactly," I said softly. "And to make things even more awkward? The demon we had been fighting this evening has suddenly vanished and-and Angel turned human." Biting my bottom lip nervously, I held in my breath as the line on the other end went completely quiet.
