Hey I read your comment on some pensacola site about looking for a horse barn. I moved here too like a year ago. I love riding, but not sure where theres any barns. I know of one in Milton and one on Pine Forest dr. Have you found anything yet? What kind of riding do you do? Sorry about the questions!
Sorry I never replied!normandy_shoresJuly 7 2004, 00:44:06 UTC
I must've missed this comment...
I have yet to move there, though it's happening soon (very soon in fact). I haven't found anything, I figure I'll find something when I get there. I ride dressage now, and have done hunters in the past. I just catch ride, so whatever the horse does or the owner wants, I do I suppose. I take lessons on the horses I get to ride that are suitable.
I've only just recently gotten on several horses that are nice, and consistently training with a trainer I like, so I'm just starting to get into dressage.

How did you find me? I'll warn you -- I'm pretty anti-kid (though reading about yours the way you write is interesting). Don't want any, and have had my sleep for the last 9 months ruined by the one(s) next door ;)
I've just gone through and read your journal back till March -- you've got a lot on your plate!
Well, there are filters, if you're interested -- sure there were notices to that, too.
I found you through searching on "warmblood" -- if we move to VA and get settled, I'd like to get back to looking at learning, getting involved, riding -- which I've never been able to pursue. I took a riding class at a University down south and a backcountry horsemanship program locally. I'm tentatively thinking of entering the hunt seat classes here this fall... But as you say -- got a lot on my plate. :) I think I'll have the schedule tightened down by then, though.
*heh* I used to hate kids. Hubby had to catch me in the right mood for us to ever get the first one. Obviously, they're not for everyone and I have just as much respect for those who choose NOT to have them as otherwise. Better to know yourself/your own heart and not have them than be pressured into it based on outside expectations and shortchange yourself and the child. If that makes sense.
