"A retro-game is supposed to" appeal to nerd chic hipsters who want the aesthetic of being addicted to video games without being challenged by today's complicated graphically intense, often mechanically dense monstrosities. A retro game should ideally sport attractive pixel art, and game-play that is mostly a nostalgic reference to older classic titles.
