If they wanted to keep SG1 on the air, why did they not keep SG1 on the air?

I think this is the production team's way of "rebelling" against Scifi's decision to pull SG1 off the air. Or they're just incompetent morons who don't know how to tell a good, sustainable story. Sadly, it's probably equal parts of both. Ugh.

Ooh, really? I was off lj most of the weekend and missed it. Sigh. There needs to be more shirtless Flanigan in the world. For serious.

Maybe. But I generally attribute crappy Stargate decisions to their general incompetence.

Granted, it was on Dawson's Creek. But he was pretty and scruffy and hot. So, yay for him.

So for our television show? Can we add Brad Whitord and Janel Moloney? I've been watching West Wing dvds. Man, their chemistry is insane.

True. SG1 got immensely crappier after Mullie/Mallozzii et al took over in season 4 (although the Showtime seasons were still better than almost everything Skiffy aired).

Scruffy and hot overpower Dawson's Creek any day.

Ooh! Absolutely. I can't believe we didn't add them until now. Speaking of which, do we need any plot beyond "hot people being flirty and kicking ass"?

I find that I enjoy SGA far more in fanfic then I ever do the real show, so I tend to stick to that. Occasionally, I stick my head out turtle like to make sure I'm still abreast of what's going on, and to be refreshed by my favorite characters. Usually, I'm sorry I did. This is no exception. *Sigh* On another note, I'm a big fan of your fic (have been since I first read your work on the Robin/Patrick board) do you mind if I friend you?

SGA canon for me really started going off the rails during the third season, but I was generally pretty happy before that. I think the combination of too many recycled SG1 plots and the constant contact with Earth grated on me too much. And then it just got bad, lol. But if we don't keep up with the latest canon disasters, how else are we supposed to know when to cry in impotent rage?
