Your boss is evil, have we mentioned that? I will see what I can do for for you on both fronts.
Hee. Your brain cracks me up. Research for fic sucks. I mean, it can be fun, but knowing all of what you need to know is far too much work sometimes. And yeah, for Bones, I can only imagine.
I decided it was time that my icons reflected fandoms I'm actually into, lol. But I couldn't in good conscience get rid of my Scrubs ones. Damn you, Kimson, for being so adorable!
Evil incarnate. It's yet another committee hearing summary for the bill I worked on last week, though I'm hoping that it won't take as long to do because there won't be any public testimony. But that just means there will be more time devoted to technical analysis of the bill which I hate with the fire of a thousand suns even though it isn't bad legislation, and I cannot deal with hearing about it anymore. Chocolate! And fic! Or, ooh...could someone be covered in chocolate in the fic?
Seriously, why does my brain always go to the gen place? Yeah, I have vague notions of interesting Bones fic ideas, but they'd all be case files. And Bones case files are...yeah.
You're helping just by keeping me occupied. My other option is to research teachers' retirement medical benefits.
He sucks so much. This whole once a week publication is craziness. And er, if you want someone covered in chocolate in fic, you should probably bark up another tree. Or is my brain the pervy one and is the only one that went there? LOL.
I don't know, but I like your gen fic, so I'm not going to complain.
Publishing once a month sounds so good now. I can't believe I ever complained about it. Hee! No, my mind was totally perving at that moment. But it doesn't have to be pervy. One of my all-time favorite fanfics ever is an oooooold Gundam Wing fic where the cast gets trapped in a candy factory (oh yeah, I linked you), so take the challenge however you will.
Gen fic just always seems like such a rare occurrence in fandom. I honestly enjoy writing it, and always feel weird writing anything overtly romantic (please notice These Moments, which was a Scrubs fic disguised as a family food fight). But fandom never seems to catch on, lol.
I have an insane soft spot for team fic in every fandom I've ever been in, and I always want more because it's so rare. But at the same time, I'd like not to be a fandom outlier, ya know?
Hee! I loved that they obviously built up their friendship while Jack was gone, and it'd be the best tea party ever. But that requires me to actually write it.
Ooh! Write that! There should be more Torchwood gossip fics in general. Seriously, they're all like 12 year old girls most of the time. *g*
Ugh, for the last two weeks, I've been listening to and transcribing legislative committee hearings. But because of conflicting schedules for when they get uploaded to the web, my actual work schedule, and our publication deadline, I've been staying up until 4 AM the last two Wednesdays to get everything finished. And this week probably won't be any exception. You might have noticed that I'm a little cranky about this, lol.
Well, I don't watch Torchwood (although I do watch Doctor Who, and I love Captain Jack; I especially loved all of the scenes in series one with the Ninth Doctor/Rose/Jack), so I'm going to make things even more difficult and vote for a new chapter of Chaos Theory. It's bad enough the sugarpromises has a serial killer loose in Port Charles; you can't leave Faison (who, I guess, is arguably also a serial killer) running around indefinitely on top of that! I will gladly send chocolate in support of my request.
Captain Jack is made of win. Torchwood kind of reminds me of a cracky DW/X-Files crossover, but he's still made of win on that show.
No! Why must you make things difficult? This chapter just doesn't want to get written, I don't understand it. Actually, I told sugarpromises that the prologue for the sequel is the most likely thing to get written in that universe since I could do it without giving anything from CT away. But that might be even more evil than leaving Faison on the verge of capturing Robin, lol.
Chocolate and other bribes are always accepted. No guarantee that they'll work, but they're accepted.
I might have an all-nighter on Wednesday too! I'll definitely be your buddy if that's the case. In the mean time, I'll be happy to toss you over some chocolates -- the boy gave me lots because of the crap fest that was this past weekend.
Otherwise, I'll try to have some small things written by the Thursday/Friday mark. I've started a ton of stuff that I haven't finished. I've lost all momentum, it's crazy.
Hooray! I mean, not hooray, because all-nighters pretty much suck when they're for not for fandom, right? Aww! Thank you for sharing your "Boy is an Ass" chocolates. Really, he should be fanning you with palm fronds and peeling grapes to make up for it, but chocolate will have to do.
You might have written things?! Like, fanfictiony written things? Oh, momentum. As long as you're writing again at all.

Anything I can do for your boredom?

I think TW is in need of fluffy team fic, yeah?
I have an insane need to write Gwen and Ianto gossiping about Jack over tea and biscuits
Write it! They can bond over Jack's inaccessibility. :D
Have you seen 2x05 and 2x06? I had a similar idea that involved Martha and Ianto hanging out and gossiping about Jack, lol.
Anyway, good luck with your all-nighter. What exciting thing will be occupying your time?

You know, I could actually probably do that, if you really wanted them.
So, the odds of you coming online tonight are next to nil huh.
