a funny thing happened on the way to the forum

Lordy, lory, lordy. When I drop off the face of the earth, I really do it well, huh? Well, uh, as you can probably guess, I failed spectacularly at completing both het-bigbang and femgenficathon. Not for lack of trying with either one, but the damn fics just would not be written. In theory, both will see the light of day eventually. I just have to get off my ass and finish ( Read more... )

ficathons, real life, nano, television, yuletide!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I was actually going to text you later to see if you'd done your sign-ups yet, haha.

I haven't seen any Fringe fic of which you speak, but then I haven't watched Fringe since the premiere. Maybe I will marathon that tomorrow since OUAT wants to hurt me by not being new.

Hee! I actually set a reminder on my phone so I wouldn't forget. Come hell or high water, I'm doing Yuletide!

I didn't watch the eps between the premiere and Peter coming back, so I'm only caught up on like, half the season so far. But I DARE you to watch last night's ep and tell me Peter wasn't flirting with Lee. Seriously, it was like the writers were taking notes from your Inception crossover, it was THAT overt. PETER SMILES AT LEE LIKE HE USED TO AT OLIVIA. HE BOUGHT LEE NEW, PRETTY GLASSES.

Haha, that's awesome! Like I said, I will be around for last minute beta-ing purposes, though god willing, they won't be necessary. There are pluses to not going home for Christmas proper.

THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. I will definitely catch up on that tomorrow. I've gotten so behind on stuff that catching up seems daunting and like I need a plan to accomplish it. I hate when that happens.

(The only plus side of Prime Suspect getting shut down? Maybe Kirk can come back to Fringe? I would really enjoy that.)

Have I thanked you yet for promising in advance your last minute beta skills? Because I think we both know you will regret making that offer, but I HAVE IT HERE, IN WRITING, IN PUBLIC.

IT IS GLORIOUS. Like, you KNOW I don't watch stuff with shippy goggles, let alone slash goggles, and yet during this week's ep I was like "SLASH SLASH WONDERFUL SLASH" during all the Peter/Lee stuff, lol. With Fringe I actually think you're ok just watching from when Peter returned. That's what I did and I wasn't lost at all. Not sure how to help with the rest of your shows.

Ooh, I had not considered that. And since they're getting back to the other side after the winter hiatus, they should have plenty of time to write him back in.

I've missed you!

I Also watch Castle, bones, Chuck, and Once Upon A Time! Epic show indeed!

I heart you. Just thought you should know. :)

MY DARLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to get better about staying in touch with people, but that is obviously a work in progress, lol.

Wait, how did I not know you watch Castle?! That show is like, my tv happy place! I could expound upon its joyfulness from every angle for a long time, so I won't right now. But you and I are going to have a MAJOR catch-up session. Not sure when, because my sister and my grandmother will BOTH be coming up here for Thanksgiving, so things will be a wee bit crazy next week.

(And hey, you know what says "I love you" to an 88 year old from South Florida? Flying her across the country to visit a place that spent the last week not rising above 0 degrees. When ALASKA says "unseasonably cold temps" you know it's bad. We may not have planned this well...)

A MILLION HEARTS BACK.

Hey, GURL. We are, like, in the exact same boat, writing-wise. High five for NaNo!

Hi, you!

Yay, NaNo! I've never gotten above 20k in five years, and I'm a little ashamed that this is what will finally give me a winner's banner, but whatever. As long as I prove I can write 50k for a single story, right?

How's your NaNo going?

Exactly. I'm not at ALL going to get to The End, but just reaching the 50 means I got somewhere, right? (Same for you!)
