The amount of good will that a lack of pants engendered in me is quite stunning. But I still think there have been some massive problems in the way they've gone about executing this storytelling (CONVENIENT ALIENS FOR EXPOSITORY PURPOSES WILL NEVER NOT BE A TERRIBLE PLOT DEVICE), but no pants! I wish they'd start developing the girls, too. Jamie and Gar are by far the most developed and I don't think it's a coincidence that they're my favorites of the newbies. Also, anytime Greg wants to give me Dick and Zatanna putting their mouths on each other, that would be a-okay in my book.
SO HOT, COME SAVE ME.

My guess is that the aliens are a patsy that the REAL big bad of the season set up to distract the good guys. But yeah, given how much other new stuff is getting thrown at us, it's difficult to be willing to give the show that time to get things going. And the girls DEFINITELY need better development, but they're focusing so much on the plot that it's difficult. And the plot could use some improvement, too. And Dick/Zatanna makeouts, but I've apparently already reached the point of writing fic when canon fails to provide, so
( ... )
Did you mention before that it was a prom fic?? I LOVE PROM FIC! Now I'm thinking I should find a fandom medium where I can insert a prom story into. Especially since my baby cousin just had hers, therefore we spoke of nothing else.
Hee, I don't know that I've talked about the fic much yet. But yes, it is INSANE prom fic! With planning and going crazy from the planning and THREE PROMS TO WRITE, one of which turns into an armed robbery/kidnapping attempt (BECAUSE I'M ME).
Yes! Write prom fic! Or any fic at all! I'm going to have prom on the brain for the next few months because of this, so we can just turn it into a mutual support society. Aww, I hope she had a good time!
(And watch Young Justice so you can help me! *panics*)
Well, you don't HAVE to watch it. I can just keep flailing at you completely without context, lol.
NYC apartments don't have central air, and in a lot of buildings you not only need permission from the landlord to install an AC unit, but it costs extra on your rent each month in addition to the energy bill. Central air is something I've only ever encountered in Florida condos
I hope you're right! I don't know that I'll ever kick ass, but not wanting to crawl under my desk and cry would be nice.
There are worse ways to spend your day, don't even lie.
Ha, I shouldn't be surprised. Okay, so I think Johnny held on to the few memories he has of being a LITTLE kid, when his mom and Claudia were still around and his dad hadn't gone paranoid crazy yet (notice how I'm ignoring certain retcons in this head!canon...). I have this image of tiny!Johnny, his mom, and maybe nine or ten-year-old Claudia having a picnic on a hot summer day in Central Park. They take a basket of food (gourmet deli, because let's be real) and park themselves under a tree, ignoring the bodyguards keeping an active perimeter around them, and just pretend to be a normal family for an afternoon. There was laughter and tree-climbing and feeding ducks and playing with a puppy that ran over. He always wanted to recreate that with his own family, and never quite gave up hope that he could have that again.
Oh, I LOVE this picnic (and I'm kind of ignoring said retcons too because I haven't been watching this past eight months or so and don't really know the details, also DON'T CARE). But I love the details of this, the gourmet deli meats and the circling bodyguards...
I watched Robin's exit and then stuck around for the new regime for a while. But DAMN, this retcon is one of the worst GH has ever done, and that's really saying something. It is terrible, but if you need details, sadly, I can help you out.
The idea of tiny!Johnny having one perfect childhood afternoon is too much to ignore. He's such a tragic character (NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK), and an idealized memory from his childhood is something I can see him clinging to.

HOORAY FOR A/C! I DO NOT KNOW HOW PEOPLE IN THE LOWER 48 LIVE WITHOUT IT.
I hope so, because I need to stop feeling like I'm barely surviving every day.

At some point I do think you will get used to it. Then you're going to do so well that you're going to kick ass.
The first time I heard that central air was not standard across the United States, I was flabbergasted. COOL AIR IS A GOOD THING!

1) Johnny Zacchara
2) Any nice, carefree memory he might have had (any and all 'ships are welcome, but doesn't have to be shippy)
