Gorlim: *drags a bucket of snow inside, climbs up to the rafters in the hall, and dumps it on Noro when she walks under*
Norolinde: ::screams::
Gorlim: What's the matter? You needed a bath...
Norolinde: ::rolls her eyes up to look at him:: ::grits her teeth:: You're right, I did. Thank you.
Gorlim: *smiles charmingly*
Norolinde: In fact . . . ::glances at her dress, which, in the heat of the hall, has melted the snow and already begun to stick to her body:: . . . in fact, you might have helped me find customers. ::grins:: Thank you!
Gorlim: ...customers?
Norolinde: Mmhmm.
Gorlim: What... kind of customers?
Norolinde: Oh, people who like a warm body in their bed on a cold winter's night . . . and don't mind warming that body up first. ::winks at him::
Gorlim: .....you are sick.
Norolinde: Hmm? Oh, Gorlim. Isn't that what we were? Whore and customer? I warmed your bed, and when I wasn't welcome anymore I took what I could and ran.
Gorlim: ......I should feed you to the dogs.
Norolinde: Oh, would you? They're looking a bit peckish and I . . . ::glances down at herself:: provide *such* a hearty meal . . .
Gorlim: *sighs*
Norolinde: Aww. ::leans against a wall and looks up at him:: Tell Aunty Noro what's wrong?
Gorlim: *stares at her in disgust* Go away.
Norolinde: Can't. ::shrugs:: Still haven't managed to find a straight path from the twins' room to the kitchens.
Gorlim: >.<
Gorlim: Follow me, then. *swings down and starts walking towards the kitchen*
Norolinde: ::bounds after him, her dress slapping wetly at the floor beneath:: So. ::smiles brightly::
Gorlim: So. *doesn't look back at her*
Norolinde: ::stops and eyes his retreating back::
Norolinde: ::accusingly:: You haven't been eating either.
Gorlim: ...
Norolinde: Stop walking. ::her voice is firm::
Gorlim: *stops, rolling his eyes towards the ceiling* What.
Norolinde: ::narrows her eyes as she strides towards him:: Look! ::pulls his shirt tight against his waist and his pants taut against his legs:: It's disgusting! You're skin and bones, and barely skin at that.
Gorlim: Ooh, aren't WE the picky one today? It isn't as if you have to put up with me in bed. *yanks himself out of her grasp and straightens his loose shirt and pants with balloon-like bottoms tucked into his boots*
Norolinde: Oh, because that's all we ever did: put up with each other!
Gorlim: *straightens his clothing* Did you want to see the kitchens or not?
Norolinde: As long as you'll show me how to get to the twins' room from there.
Gorlim: Fine.
Norolinde: Kay. ::tugs at her own dress and gives up on it:: Well, walk.
Gorlim: *walks*
Norolinde: Do you drink enough milk?
Norolinde: ::chatters flatly, as if reciting:: Milk is important for strong and healthy bones. You'll break bones if you don't drink your milk.
Norolinde: ::senses the conversation's fallen dead:: . . . yeah. Milk.
Gorlim: Here's the kitchen.
Norolinde: ::peers inside:: o.o Okaythankslet'sgo.
Gorlim: *eyes her*
Gorlim: *experimentally shoves her inside*
Norolinde: ::her eyes widen as she clings to the wall::
Norolinde: ::wails::
Gorlim: ...o.O
Norolinde: ::curls in on herself as she sinks to the floor::
Gorlim: .....right. *strolls in and crosses his arms, peering down at her* Norolinde.
Norolinde: mmmm ::is busy rocking herself back and forth::
Gorlim: What. The Hell.
Norolinde: I don't like it I'd rather not eat at all. >.<
Gorlim: You don't like WHAT?
Norolinde: It. Here. I don't like it.
Gorlim: Why? It's just a room...
Norolinde: And it's hot and noisy and full of people and they're all looking at me. o.o Make them stop?
Gorlim: *sighs, hoists her up by her arm, and leads her out* It isn't like that at night. At night, everyone leaves.
Norolinde: ::takes a deep breath and looks at him:: It's empty at night?
Gorlim: Yes.
Norolinde: . . . ::bites her lip, flings herself into his arms and gives him a hug before ducking back out and pressing herself to the opposite wall:: o.o
Gorlim: *blinks, twitches* What was that for?
Norolinde: For taking me out.
Gorlim: ....right. *takes her arm and leads her away from the wall* Come on now. *a bit more kindly than he has been speaking to her* The twins' room is this way...
Norolinde: ::nods and hesitates:: Can we go really slow for me? If I had . . . like, landmarks to help me find my way better . . . ::her brow furrows, as if she's dredging up a very old memory:: Things I can see.
Norolinde: Like . . . like grooves in a stone, or how things curve, like rivers.
Gorlim: *walks more slowly*
Norolinde: I suppose you just know the halls. You don't even have to look. But it's good to slow down and take notice sometimes, too. ::eyes the walls:: Oh! See this stone? It kind of looks like it has a face in it. ::smiles::
Gorlim: ...... *bites his lip* Yeah. I guess it does.... *quietly*
Norolinde: Oh, and this one! ::runs ahead of him:: This one *feels* like it's got something hidden inside it. Like a secret it can't tell. Cause it's stone.
Gorlim: *follows, puts his hand over hers*
Norolinde: ::blinks, but doesn't move:: Do you feel it?
Gorlim: *nods and quickly pulls his hand away*
Norolinde: Mmm. *That's* a good one to remember. ::looks to him:: Where next?
Gorlim: This way. *on duty now, acting like a guard rather than himself... courteous and frank and something else... not impatience -- he could do this all day -- but disinterest. He isn't connecting with the situation anymore, merely carrying out his duty*
Norolinde: ::nods and follows him, her eyes searching the halls for things she can keep in her mind, but no longer pointing them out to him::
Gorlim: *leads her back* Here. This is their room.
Norolinde: ::smiles to herself:: Thank you. I'll remember it well.
Gorlim: Do you need anything else?
Norolinde: ::tilts her head towards him:: Do you?
Gorlim: Do I what?
Norolinde: Need anything?
Gorlim: ...No...
Norolinde: ::her eyes soften:: Drink your milk, kay?
Gorlim: *looks back at her* I... all right.
Norolinde: Yay. ::smiles:: I think your bones are put to the test enough without needing to break. Have a nice night, sir.
Gorlim: *bows* Good night, my lady.
