A letter to the editor? If it's as well spoken as that crazy late night verse above, it should make quite an impact. WOW.

The gay community is so cruel to their own. I don't understand it. Want role models? Try being one yourself first. Want rights and privileges? Give them to your own first. This is why I KNOW gay is NOT a choice. Who would chose to put up with this kind of treatment? To get it from within your own community is unacceptable in my opinion.

And please, for the life of me, someone PLEASE tell me what "too gay" is. I keep reading it and thinking "WTF?"

Gay is definitely not my first thought when I see Adam. Not even when I first saw Brad pictures, or Halloween in a dress pictures, or nameless others. It shouldn't define it. It doesn't for me.

I continue to agree with you wholeheartedly. I think part of why Adam is causing such a stir is because we haven't seen a lot of homosexual alpha males. The image of gay man in movies and books and TV is always of the femmy best friend who takes you shopping when a big stupid man breaks your heart. But that's not Adam. Adam is masculine first and also happens to be gay. He is a game changer. Or to borrow my favorite of someone's else descriptions of him, Adam is a Black Swan. (If you haven't seen the vid that let let me know, it's perfect ( ... )

Beautiful letter is beautiful.... norosegarden November 18 2009, 17:22:20 UTC
My hope is that Adam will somehow see all the support he's receiving and that it gives him strength. Additionally I hope at least some of the support is from the GLBT community of which I'm also not a part.

Even though you and I don't know each other beyond this place, I can tell *you* are a very special person. Knowing you're out there makes me very happy.

YES TO ALL OF THIS. I AM SICK. ADAM IS SUCH A GIFTED SINGER. HE WANTS TO BE A ROCK STAR, BE HAPPY, FIND LOVE AND LIVE HIS LIFE. CAN'T HE JUST BE WHO HE IS, GAY OR NOT, AND DO THIS WITHOUT CONSTANTLY BEING THE POINT MAN FOR EVERYONE'S AGENDA? HE HAS ONE OF THIS OWN, TO LIVE HIS LIFE ON HIS OWN TERMS. HE IS DOING THIS TEN FOLD.

OUT JUST SET THEIR OWN AGENDA BACK TEN YEARS WITH THIS NONSENSE...

WHAT KIND OF POSITIVE MESSAGE CAN IT SEND THAT OUT IS HAVING A PISSING CONTEST WITH THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE GAY MAN IN AMERICA? I WANTED THOSE PICTURES, BUT NOW DON'T WANT TO BUY THE MAGAZINE.

THEY WANT HIM TO BE MORE GAY? *PROVE* THAT HE'S GAY? HOW MANY STRAIGHT MEN TAKE PICTURES OF THEMSELVES MAKING OUT WITH OTHER MEN? WHILE THEY ARE WEARING A DRESS? OR PLATFORM BOOTS? TRY ZERO.

ADAM IS NOT HIDING HIS GAY. HE'S JUST BEING ADAM. LEAVE HIM ALONE!

I went to B&N today and picked up my Elle. OUT was there and while I did look at the pics (they were beautiful), I couldn't buy it.

No, he is not hiding the fact that he's gay. He never did, and he hasn't stopped. He gave OUT 50,000 words on him being gay and that it's a part of who he is. He doesn't stamp a big fucking blinking sign his forehead, but all signs point to YES, HE IS GAY.

I'm so done with this. I just hope it doesn't effect Adam in any way.

OT - Much lighter subject! norosegarden November 19 2009, 04:34:16 UTC
I bought Elle on my way home from work tonight at WalMart. $4 for a magazine with pictures I've already seen full of perfume ads that make me sneeze!

Yes, Adam, I do love you that much!
