This is a really random comment, so please excuse me for dropping in on your journal. (I'm friends with Kate, if that helps.) I just wanted to comment because I saw you talking about the IFA, and thought I ought to say hooray for people who do study abroad in Rennes. I spent the summer before my senior year in high school in Rennes and the rest of Bretagne because my hometown is sister cities with Rennes, and two of my good friends just returned from a year there, so I hope you're having just as wonderful of a time. Make sure you ride the Metro if you get a chance; according to my host family, it's the world's smallest (and probably the most expensive for what you get...)!
Hey, Thanks for the comment :-). If you don't mind my asking, where in Rennes did you live? And do you happen to live in Rochester? I know that's one of Rennes sister cities...
I lived on Boulevard de Sévigné, right near le parc du Thabor (which is also magnificent, if you haven't been there yet). And yes, I am from that silly place Rachacha ;)
Ah yes Thabor- tis a pretty park indeed. My classes here took place down the street off of Place Hoche. I actually go to school in Rochester, so I'm really appreciating the Breton weather right now.
