Seriously, thank you. I've become seriously discouraged from prompting here because hijacking seemed to be welcome for the longest time. I'm quite glad to see that something's been done about it and may start prompting again!

Thank you. Please do continue to follow up by freezing hijacking comments, as you did on page 39. Perhaps then the most flagrant abusers will stop.

Can you please also go over the rules about flaming as well? Since this post regarding hijacking came out there have been a number of vigilante-types who post nasty replies to people who do hijack a prompt. Now, I'm all for putting a stop to hijacking but being rude about it is flat out wrong. Comments such as:

"Oh good, everyone can calm down, purplemoon3 is here and weighed in with their opinion on this topic." - personal attack

"I don't know what's worse. That you pop up on so many threads to do this sort of thing, or that you do it logged in and edit your comment multiple times." - personal attack

The other thing is that they are responding to what they perceive as hijacking but others may just see as excitement or enthusiasm. I can easily see this turning people away from the meme, hell, it's working for me. If you suspect hijacking then you should report it to the MODs, NOT post your own nasty comment, it is just as rude if not more so.

Thank you.

I'm so sorry it's taken so long to reply to you. Those kinds of comments are most definitely not allowed, and I will talk with the other mods about our rules on flaming and how we can better address them.

If you have links to those sorts of threads from the past or in the future, please always link them to the Page a Mod post so we can see them much faster and respond appropriately :)
