I feel strange encouraging you to go when I decided not to go this year, but if you can afford dropping a few hundred bucks I think you should go. It would really be a blast to see Copremesis with Erik and I think the lineup will be as solid as it was last year probably. There are always surprises.
However, we did luck out with Erik's brother giving us an amazing bargain on the hotel and you might not be so fortunate this year. Also gas might be close to four dollars a gallon by then.
Yeah, the more I talked about it with Paulo the more excited I got over going. I wouldn't be driving this year, bus fare comes out to roughly 80 total, two-way. Which is roughly what I'd pay in gas driving there (it's a little cheaper here in NJ, about 20 cents less, I was just in Maryland last week) You're right about Erik, I don't even feel right reaching out to him and asking what he's doing this year room-wise. He'd probably be cool with letting me crash but still, don't feel right asking again. Paulo said it's probable that he could have space, but when I said to him that I don't want to be there room-less he agreed that he might not be able to once the date is near. Too uncertain. I have a cousin that lives about a half hour from Baltimore and is into metal, he's young though (just turned 17) and still pretty immature, likes to get high, etc. I just don't think I want to hang with him all day for two days but that's also an option
( ... )
I just found out today that Fuck I'm Dead and TDEBN are playing some half-assed fest here (not related to the long-running joke of a fest that used to plague this city) on May 15-16. I'll probably go to the second day since those bands plus Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Putrid Pile, and Circle of Dead Children are playing. It's only twenty bucks, so if you want to fly out here instead of going to Maryland, you can stay at my house for free! But that would probably be way more expensive for way fewer bands.
That show by you sounds pretty good! I wish Putrid Pile was playing here! that guy makes me feel all warm inside with his vocals, though I wish somebody took over on guitars for him, his riffs are a little tired.
Staying with my cousin would be more annoying than you know. He tells me he's actually more like an hour away from Baltimore (When I came to Maryland last he actually told me to get off at Washington DC since that's 20 mins from him rather than Baltimore which is farther out) and there's other reasons why I don't want to go that route. Have fun at that show man.

If I were you I'd probably stay with the cousin.
