This past Monday after muay thai class was over, Joe - one of the trainers - said he'd talked with Ray about having me in the Saturday invite-only class and that Ray had agreed so they were extending an invitation. I think that sometimes withholding the truth is essentially the same as lying, but not always. If, for example, you didn't tell the person you were going to your grandma's house for oatmeal raisin cookies and then they couldn't get a hold of you when you were gone, it's ridiculous for them to be mad at you. But if you fucked some guy's girlfriend and continued to act totally normal around him, then you are a liar. I'm going to need some more information to determine if you are an asshole.

Haha, oatmeal raisin cookies are awesome. Basically I hooked up with this one girl, and a friend (girl) found out and didn't like the fact that I hadn't told her. She wasn't mad that I had done it, just that I "lied" about it. However, I don't personally feel as though I lied since she never went "Hey, out of curiosity, are you with so and so?" if she had, and I had said no, that would be a lie, right? I just personally don't see the point in being like "Hey, just in case you wanted to know, I'm doing this and that" if it's my business and doesn't concern her.

Seems to me either she's got a thing for you or else she's totally possessive and a shitty friend. Maybe both.

I guess theres a grey area but it depends on the situation. MOST of the time withholding information is lying but it depends on whether you were doing it intentionally, telling other people, and/or what it was.
