During the debates over certain Obama policies for the past few months, I have heard the words "socialist", "fascist", "nazi", "racist", and other slurs being hurled back and forth as well as many political slogans that are completely intellectually lazy and separated from reality, so let me vent on my feelings about these

I think your right on on this. I'm not an expert on healthcare. But, I think it's more likely we are behind the other industrialized countries on healthcare. I heard Australia supports their national healthcare with around 9% of GDP and we spend atleast 18% I think. The funny thing about all this is it isn't even going to create a national system bc insurance companies will still have the bulk of it i think. I think if the Democrats phrased it like "Medicare for everyone" it would work better. The socialist word is funny for Rep to use bc it only registers with people who grew up in the 50s as being an evil word.
