The weather is playing a trick on us in the northwest today. It's the first day of April and it's snowing hard outside! See why I love living it here so much? It's only been a few years, but I'd completely forgotten how English London is. It's a wonderful place to be, but utterly alien despite being both friendly and looking like a movie lot. I just heard an old friend was killed in Afghanistan a few days ago. He was a 29 year old Lieutenant in the U.S. Marines who left behind a wife and child. I first met him when he was 19.
