I don't see why gays need separate invitations either. The bajillion other forms of paper colors, font choices, monogrammed envelopes, etc. that everyone else uses weren't appropriate?

agreed. an invitation to the wedding of seth and nate should probably be tipoff enough. and if anyone ever tried to sell me wedding invitations featuring the male and female symbols or a bra and a wifebeater or something, i'd take my business elsewhere, because that shit is tacky as hell.
