Comments, as always, are appreciated.

I'll be doing this book for my nano, btw. I'm technically breaking the rules because nano isn't allowed to be on an already-started project, but eh fuck it, I want to get a manuscript done more than I want to obey the rules.

more stuff about my lost novel outline. lots of world-building, this time, I'm just trying to get ideas down, I learned a lot from this, I don't know how much I missed. )

SHIT LOOKS AWESOME.

Okay, that's not going to cut it as a comment.

What you have so far is definitely enough to write a great deal about since the focus isn't so much the wider world as much as it's about what is going on in the character's lives with regards to the situation(s). I agree completely with you there, it's for the best that you don't go into MASSIVE OUTLINE OF EVERY COUNTRY, EVEN COMMONERS FLESHED OUT TO THE FINGERNAILS. Everything else can wait because you have the setting of the story itself fleshed pretty well.

You've gone in my favorite kind of direction for magic systems (common/mundane/populous/industrious), so all I have is woots for this there. It's kind of like Eberron crossed with Regency England, and I like it.

I also like the idea of bending NaNo to your rules and using it to further your novel rather than be forced into making a new one for it. Especially since I had that idea myself for this year's one. >_>

This all sounds AWESOME. 8) I love the mixture of magic and realism you've got going here.
