They didn't cancel, we did. They'd booked 5 groups of children onto the site as well and it's not a big site...

If i were you would put in some form of formal complaint to the Kidderminster and District Scout Council about it. This is a major inconvenience (to say the least) just to rake in more cash.

Did you loose deposit for cancelling if so definitly complain with reasons for cancellation.
Does this mean the crew now get bunks? ;-)

Obviously very bad and very stressful.
And indeed *HUGS* for any and all stress this causes you.
But am glad I do not have to worry about climbing mistakenly into the lion pen at dead of night!
