Snow makes me happy, especially the swirling patterns on Cross Campus made by the wind. Sadly though, it's much warmer today than it was the past two days, and slush is on the rise.

Back in Maine after a very long day of travel yesterday. I left Silliman at 10.00 AM Sunday, then hit Boston at 1.00, Brunswick at 4.30, Bowdoin at 5.00, Brunswick again at 7.00, and didn't step onto the porch at 17 Orchard Rd until 11.30 PM. Then, being the temporally maladjusted college student I am, slept from 3 AM - 2 PM. Grrrr ( Read more... )

I was working in SML the other day and noticed a crumpled up piece of paper on the desk. Curious, I opened it to see ( this )

The past two weeks have been entirely hellish. Never mind about the details, but between school and life and the past and the future I've been sort of falling apart on the inside. On the bright side, I'm nearly done so maybe I'll be able to recuperate before Christmas. My classes finish early so I could go home as early as tomorrow, but I'm staying ( Read more... )

This morning, in the rain and the wind and the traffic, I watched a guy skateboard up science hill carrying an open white umbrella. His backpack was underneath his jacket. Somehow this struck me as very absurd and wonderful, and I've been smiling about it all day ( Read more... )
