"Those are the rules of Jinx, and they are unflinchingly rigid."

I had a pretty great evening last night. Instead of writing (OMG why didn't I do some writing?!) the Boy and I went out for dinner, watched some of An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder and then (TMI alert!) we fooled around for a while. I have to pretend Kevin Smith wasn't the source of inspiration. Afterward we ( had the following conversation )

This is, in fact, adorable. I'm sorry, you're just going to have to live with that. And I really think maturity never appears if you're interesting. "Adult" or "mature" is just code for boring . . . or it's the rating on the fic we like. *g*

*eyes callumvixen suspiciously*

I forgive her, but I hope her husband knows Callum is on The List. :-P

All right then.

But you better share.

Or at least take pictures.

that is clearly the most adorkable post-coital conversation in the history of EVER! also, i completely agree with meresy on the mature = boring equation...

::hugs you cuz i just can't help it::

also?: Yep. While you and Pam from The Office are off having wild monkey sex I'd be drinking tea with Fraser and talking about wilderness survival.

i &hearts you.

Awww, *hugs* you back! And yes, mature DOES = boring. It's a verifiable scientific fact!

HEEEEE! :-D

*gets in the Callum line*

Me, I'd have a few ideas what to do with that. ;-)

Yes, yes, everyone seems to have good ideas about what to do with Callum, but I think only a few of us would actually be able to do anything. I suspect there would be a lot of blushing and stammering. We'd all turn into little Frasers, and then we'd run away.

Okay, maybe you and callumvixen might be able to handle yourselves. The rest of us? No hope.

You know, I'm sure that pick-up line would work. And you, being a sexually non-threatening woman, wouldn't make him run away like his pants were on fire.

Better lock this before you lose all your angst-cred!

Y'know, that's true! Okay, if Benton Fraser ever became real and I ran into him in a bookstore or an art gallery or out on the tundra somewhere, I'll use that line.

And I am not afraid of losing my angst-cred! It's my most identifiable feature. People know me by my angst. ("Wow, that nos4a2no9 sure is a Debbie Downer!" "Why yes, good chum, she certainly is!") One leeetle post about me and the Boy being cutesy is not going to ruin all that I have worked so hard to build.

Now, the post where I talk about my deep and abiding love for lace, bows and pastels in shades of pink and lavender might necessitate an angst-related recount. Until that day, however, I maintain my title as Queen of Angst. (Or, well, okay, katallison takes that one. I'm really just her minion).
