I kinda missed posting about this earlier, but today is my anniversary with scarfe. Sorta. See, we met on November 10th, 2001, and started dating on the 15th. (What can I say? I work fast!) But because that date falls so close to his birthday and usually comes around during the hellish period of final papers/exams, we forget to celebrate until December. ( Read more... )

Ack! What? This messes with my whole perception of...everything! *counts* But you're right, of course. I don't want to argue with a mathematician :-) Wow. Okay, I changed the entry, and now I feel like a tool. Thanks for saving me from myself! I'll inform scarfe that he's got another year to go before he can start claiming the "seven year itch."

happy anniversary! I had such fun reading aaron's old OD post. I'd forgotten all about that, except for the merciless teasing he got from his (single) friends.

Anyway, I'm really glad he has you. Even though I only get to see ya'll once a year if I'm lucky, I internet stalk and you seem really great together and great for each other and it makes me happy. Besides, there was always the fear that Aaron would end up with some odious woman and we'd have to drop all connection with him. FORTUNATELY you are awesome and cool and what's the point of having male friends if they don't bring cool girlfriends around.

Thank you! That old OD post is a bit of a time capsule, and I'm glad we have that record of when we first got together.

And awww, Leanne, that's so sweet of you to say! I really wish we could see each other more often, too, and it's been great to be part of such a fun group of people. I know he misses you guys and when we move back to BC I think we'll see a lot more of each other.

We all had fun and kept each other sane through high school and part of university, and it sucks in many ways that everyone is stretched from coast to coast now. But at least we are all still on speaking terms and have yearly Gingerporn makings at which to reconnect. It's hard to be shy around a gingerbread phallus!
