The bedside clock glares at him mockingly. He frowns back at it, sighing as it flickers 3:21. He turns onto his other side and smiles. The man beside him is worth the sleepless night as long as he’s by his side.
Now, he’d give anything to stop time, to stay lost with him until the end of all things, until his heart finally stops beating. If he could, he’d take him somewhere over the rainbow, to worlds anew to have just one moment more with him. But he can’t evade fate and loving him is worth the heartbreak to come.
