No one showed up??? I love when something gets cancelled and you suddenly have surprise extra time.
Funny how he limits your tries on getting something right. I guess Stel does that too. So what does he do when he's done with practicing something? He just always seems so game
It can vary, but mostly he'll WILDLY start doing things very differently, things like jumping over tunnels or not doing the teeter the correct direction (yes, he's done that). It's like if you repeat he figures it must not be right, so he'll take a stab at doing it another way. Crazy pup.
Razz does that too. We think this might be his issue with why the Rdw is taking so long... We are actually going to see if we can do a test for this today--Silvia's advice
Cool! Let us know how it goes. These are the things I noticed in Rumble when he began (this was when he was younger) checking out on me:
Would he take an obstacle in an odd way (like jump over a tunnel, walk ON a tunnel, purposely knock a bar down by pawing at it, etc) This showed me he was throwing out weirdo behaviors showing he was confused.
Would he slow way down to a "lope?" he's not the world's fastest dog, but there's a low gear that really was obvious
Would he give me frustration barks. He's got a bark for "you were LATE!" and it's very different from the "I DON"T GET THIS!" bark
and there were more. Raz might have different signs. But what I found was if we did it WELL, even one time, it would be best to REWARD!! a lot and move on to something else. I think that's why he prefers sequencing to drilling 2-3 obst. Because he's not having to "do over" stuff he's already done.
RDW would be a nightmare with Rums, no doubt! Way too many reps.
Inspired YES! but the videos and the point by point break down on how to do it, and why... but Shamed because yeah, he's 4 and this is something we should have nailed down a long time ago.
