Razor birthday check in:

Matilda will be 12 in March. Physically she's really good. I see her aging in her increased worries. As a child I had an English Cocker that lived to be quite old, 14 or 15, but I was away at college during those really senior years.

Awww and really 11 isn’t that old but it’s so hard to fathom especially since he’s your first old dog. I’ve technically got two seniors in my home and I don’t know how I feel about it. Maybe I have too many dogs for it to be as impactful. I don’t know.

You make him sound so old and he is only 11. :-) But I hear you, the aging starts happening a lot quicker from here on out. Hugs to both of you!
I love that photo of him on the couch, facing the wrong way!

I know 11 isn't old. But in my limited experience, it is! He's still a crazy pup in some ways.

My birthday wish for him is many years of good health and cantankerousness. He was a cute puppy and still is a very handsome dude.
