... Wendy is a toppy, smart femme who pays attention to him. Jet is a giant tsundere puppy who in reality only wants love and approval. HE HAS A MAD CRUSH. It's unavoidable. Jet has a super dangerous crush on Violet. IT'S NOT EVEN PHYSICAL. GOSH. She is extremely intelligent, independent, and most of all, puts him in his place. THAT'S A THING FOR HIM. She pays attention to him and puts up with his bullshit and HAS THE COOLEST MOTORBIKE EVERRRRR that he is borrowing as often as possible.

He's definitely aware that Violet is taken to the nth degree, and he is not that kind of guy. He is secretly full of honour and adorableness. It is working, actually! He's so clearly not a real threat to her, and also so clearly is FULL OF REFLEXIVE DISTRUST that she'd be inclined towards sympathy even if he was more of a dick than he actually is. (Violet gets pinged by reflexive distrust.) But he's also kind of cute and gets all enthusiastic about stuff and then COVERS IT UP WITH BEING COOL and she thinks it's hilarious. She kind of just wants to give him a hug forever, but she is too reserved and also doesn't know how it would be received, so she's settling for letting him ride her bike and making him coffee and stuff. She wants to be friends! But also she's not super attached or anything, he's just a new kid and she wants to look after him a little.
