I think that the person I have chosen to be in life is going to strongly limit my acceptability to the opposite sex. I have found that a great many people like a great many things about me, which is grand. Kandahar is noce this time of year, if a bit brisk. The exchange rate vs. purchasing power is very much in our favor as well. Since the median household annual income is around $472, you can live pretty well (at least by local standards for a few hundred a month. The official exchange rate is right around 50:1, but the real purchasing power is around 10 Afghani to the dollar. Which means that you can get a full set of tailored man-jammies with front and rear plate pockets and higher side slits to accomidate a concealed handgun for about $40 US. Or black mink (or at least good quality fake, but real fur) blankets for $25 - $50 US. All in all, not a bad place, with the exception of rampant unemployment, no real civil services, and no real club scene.
