I think the US military could end the war in Iraq in 4 weeks if they just got all their troops up at dawn and made them stand at attention in front of the flag during sunrise while blaring The Star Spangled Banner done by Boston over every speaker within a 3 mile radius at full volume. So I am at work at the moment, listening to some chill ambient and calming a hangover with a bottle of water and a cup of really strong coffee.  I'm not one to get very strong hangovers, but what I do get is just this general aching feeling that'll last usually the first few hours of the morning.

And realize that some causes of happiness will be mutually exclusive with others. Have the foresight to know which you should pursue and which you should not.

Seek peace so that your mind will be clear to judge how best to pursue and attain happiness.

Tie happiness and contentment to physical objects or people only temporarily... Let happiness exist because of what they inspire in YOU... Not because of THEM.

And strive for happiness with clear mind and good judgement. Use foresight. Realize that it is not attainable externally but must be realized internally.

And when you can help, do it. But do not help at the expense of your own well being unless doing so helps you in other ways that are more valuable.
