This was amazing. I've never read a fic that discusses the combination of logia. Very good. I liked a looooott.

This is a great reflection on their lives and perspectives - it's nice to see the quieter side.... and then there's all the burning at the end. woot. I want to say that it was hot, but the rather large part inside of me that hates puns won't let me - what's a synonym for hot? Can't think, brain failing. Powerful? ye gods, i love the way you write the connection between Smoker and Ace.

Completely glorious. I started to keep favorite passages, but then I got far too worked into the piece to separate enough to separate any one passage from the others- it'd be like prying a single tile out of a mosaic to demonstrate the beauty of the whole. It just won't do.

Luffy was treated beautifully and incredibly LUFFY- he is, more than anything else, an old soul. A simple soul, and an old one. The bits of Ben and Luffy's nakama placed into here were glorious as well, and Tashigi, her own woman with her own strength.

Laid over it all is Ace, and Smoker... but mostly Ace.

My inner Smoker/Ace fangirl is going into convulsions of joy upon reading this, but my favorite parts are the descriptions of Luffy.

Luffy knows. His brother terrifies him sometimes, in the same way a massively lucky coincidence in your favour scares you. Luffy is simple and loud and honest and good, but the subtle is lost on him, and usually the obvious as well; but when he looks at Ace, he knows things.

Perfect. Luffy in a nutshell.

Your Smoker/Ace is always awesome, and the AceXLuffy brotherly bits were so heartwarming and I'm such a sucker for that kind of thing!
