Thank you so much for this. I was really worried about whether or not I was really showing how much pain he's in, and I'm glad that I seem to have managed it. He really does have absolutely nothing left and no reason to keep going.

In my mind, he did get his peace. Even if it's not exactly the way most people would have preferred he go about doing it.

Tony is a massive, massive woobie. He's basically a walking tragedy. D: I mean, he always has been, but in the past few (real time) years, he's like Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet levels of tragic all rolled into one.

But written so well...I can´t call it good, because I associate good with happy ends and good-ness, not the skill of writing alone.
It is very well written and you´ve captured the atmosphere perfectly, but ...poor Tony.
