I came upon this story randomly when I was trawling the internet for AF fic, and I really enjoyed it! It is so well written, and all the characters are completely in-character. It's bittersweet but not too bitter, and I love the hope at the end. I also really like the extended metaphor and Foaly's cameo. :)

*is also late to the party* but holy FUCK. this was AMAZING. i really just have to comment on it because AF is such a small fandom and the fics that are in it usually don't hold up well. but this is such a pleasant surprise and i almost want to like, THANK you for writing this.

I just...i feel holly's pain throughout the entirety and the characters are so IC and spot on with dialogue and mannerisms i feel like i'm reading canon. you know what, yes, this is totally becoming my personal canon now. this scene totally happened. \o/
