Snagged 18 and 10 from the marvel ones. All of these are wonderful!

Btw- what does number 22 come front?

Number 22 comes from when Kang Immortus Kangmortus was mind-controlling Tony, or something, and made him be evil and forced him to kill a teammate. So teen!Tony comes from the past or another dimension or whatever to beat up his older self, because apparently the rest of the world's superheroes can't do it because evil!Tony is just that badass. Teen!Tony almost gets killed (and maybe dies later, I don't remember) and adult!Tony is like, "OH HEY MIND CONTROL IS GONE! ... D: AHHH WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!" and Kangmortus is just about to DESTROY THE AVENGERS FOREVER!! but adult!Tony goes kamikaze on Kangmortus and SAVES EVERYONE and then dies in Steve's arms and Steve has his devastated angstface on.

It's all very dramatic.

He really dies in Steve's arms? Whoa. Marvel isn't always subtle are they? *G*

I'm an idiot because I meant to ask about 35 *face palms*

Ah, hell, I knew I forgot to do something. *edits post*

35 is a line from the third chapter of elspethdixon and seanchai's Classicverse fic, Iron Man: Murderer?

ETA: And no, no Marvel isn't really subtle at all. *g* Steve is cradling Tony in his arms and is very obviously devastated and says, "IT'S ALL OVER, AVENGERS! HE'S GONE! *ANGSTFACE*"

Doom is kind of like Jan and Thor -- if any of them appear in something, that something becomes 100% more awesome.

but....what if Thor AND Doom appear in something?
Head-explodey awesomeness^^

And what if JAN shows up? The world might never be the same. :O

I still hold that that is the reason Jan never made an appearance in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Thor and Doom were already there, so if Jan showed up, no game console could have handled the utter awesomeness programmed into the game.

27, 28, and 33 are all from Marvel Adventures: Avengers. 33 is from an issue in which Steve lends Tony his shield because Morgan le Fey is all, "IF YOU LOSE AT THIS JOUSTING MATCH YOU SHALL BE MY SLAVE FOREVER!" and Steve is so not down with that.

The Sorcerer Supreme ones are from What If... Tony Stark was the Sorcerer Supreme?, and it totally cements my personal canon that the reason magic crises continually gravitate toward Tony (they do! a lot) is because he has a very large potential for being kickass with magic, except that potential will never be used because he spazzes out at the idea of even using magic to save the world, let alone on a regular basis.

23 is from Captain America, where Steve learns that Bucky is still alive (Y HALO THAR WINTER SOLDIER) and Tony is all upset because he can't go with Steve to help him find Bucky.

Actually, I need to find that 'what if?' jazzypom March 21 2009, 13:59:01 UTC
I remember having the original comic back as a lass, and loved it so much, I read it until it fell apart. Stark has the mindset and discipline to do magic, hence him recognising himself in Doom and Strange, but yes, magic calls for a belief in the other that Tony Stark shies away from. Not realising that magic is just a manifestation of one's intent and will.

Which reminds me, I need to write that Stark/Doom/Strange story (not in that way) that has been in the back of my mind for some time.

I do have it. :3 And Doom actually explains the whole 'willpower/intent' thing to Tony in Legacy of Doom #4, after which Tony is like, "Well, okay then!" and shoots magic repulsor beams at the requisite Gigantic Death Monster. Of course, within ten pages, he's freaking out again because he can't put his faith in magic, it goes against everything he trusts omg.
