I found some serious arguments on the web as to what that video is about, but it seems pretty clear to me that it's just about how teenage girls (and maybe teens in general, I don't know, I never was a teenage boy :)) can be dealing with the absolute worst things and just... push it away and deal with it and take care of it and what really matters is concerts and music.

It's such a strong song about how sometimes nasty things just happen, and we deal with them, and life goes on. And also the way teenage girls can be friends and be awful to each other at the same time.

yeah, i totally got those messages, and I really think the "voice" of the song is spot on. I think that's why I love this song. It's so bouncy, and it mixes seriousness with the not-so-important - but then switches up what is important in the song. love it!
