Oh, that happened a little while ago. There was this whole big thing where everyone in the compound had some crazy mind stuff happen to them then we all hallucinated that we were killed in an Entropi attack. The original attack on this town. Then when we woke up, the cuffs were off and deactivated.

The Keepers float overhead now.

A little on the unnerving side, but at least we can use self-defense on the crazies now.

Heh. Didja get anything out of the rambling? I have a tendency to go on and on...like I'm doing now. Hehe.

Word to the wise, stay away from the guy with evil clown facepaint. I swear to the goddess, he was, fingers inches apart, this close from cutting my face.

The cuffs're a sort of consolation gift for dying. Not really a good trade off, if you ask me, but at least they're gone.

Well. That sounds, er... bloody horrible, I guess. But these Keeper things actually rewarded us all? Or, I don't know. Is 'reward' the right word? Probably not. Consolation, like you said. Regardless, it doesn't sound much like them. Call me skeptical.
