today a schoolgirl of perhaps 14-15 (? i'm terrible with age) asked for a key to a room with animals and i recognized her as the girl with the christallmightyheavy backpack. so when she said "can i give you my stuff?" i purposely said "yeah, just toss it right here" and held my hands open like i was going to catch a beach ball

maybe future books could just be footlink after footlink.
unless they are now..i don't know.
i think in junior high i was using a "someday we'll fly to the moon" book.
and then there's the whole question of what to accept into the "canon." 9/11 as big as pearl harbor?
