Lindsey has improved and is doing better than anyone expected. Her mother is not doing well at all. My heart breaks everytime I see her hooked up to all of the necessary monitors. I know I have to be stronger, but I'm failing.

I would gladly trade places if her suffering could be mine. Please God, keep her safe and heal her.

Talk to her alone. Let her know that you're honestly sorry for everything. Not just what's going on now. But what you've done since the beginning.

You're not a bad person.

Just tell the truth. Be genuine. That's what really matters. And if she can't accept it, then let her know that you're still there when and if she decides to.
