I have not seen a Compaq organizer that runs PalmOS, they are all MS Windows CE. I don't like CE (or whatever they're calling it now) and the Compaq organizers seem pricey. If I was to buy a third party Palm OS organizer, I would buy the Handspring. The various Handspring modules look very cool. What is also nice looking is the new Samsung phone that has the Palm integrated with it. Remember, Samsung means to come!

I really don't know anything about Windows CE and Livejournal. Basically my grumble about Windows version is that it isn't really an organizer but a mini version of your PC. It uses a mini-Office suite. I think it is a good thing that I am not playing with Excel spreadsheets in the middle of the airport. Really, Office should stay at the office and not live with you. I am also the type of cell phone user that does not allow others to expect to reach them at all times--gotta love that voicemail button!
Aside from that, I am not a big Office/MS user. My documents are from 3 different word processors. I use pine for my email client, not Outlook. The Palm will integrate with most PCs: Wintel, Mac and Sun computers.
The Windows based electronic organizers are commonly referred to as Handhelds.
Hello, I'm new Tucson guy. I was reading the bio on your lj user info and when you mentioned the part about saving fortune cookie fortunes in your wallet, I laughed. My brother does the same thing and I thought he was only one to do that :)
I don't keep every one... only certain ones that I see as particularly funny or interesting. I've had a couple of people confess that they do the same.
