[She first sees darkness blare across the screen. An echo of that period of blindness, she suddenly feels damn guilty because... Estelle clearly doesn't deserve to have to dream anything about it. Stupid darkness. Even when it's not there, it's haunting her-]
[ESTELLE YOUR INNOCENCE WE'VE FAILED YOU /SOB She doesn't want... But it's so... And this dream is just... And what the hell is she supposed to- ESTELLE-]
[Blaming ourselves whether you like it or not. :/ Oh, the implications- /sob]
Who cooked it? Was it a new recipe? Did anyone add anything weird into it that you otherwise wouldn't really add to stew? You didn't drink anything alcoholic, did you?
[Completely misses Estelle's annoyance. She sighs. Would have said something about quit shoving one's head full of nonsensical drivel that'd bring about dreams like that, but, well, it's Estelle, and she's practicing her tact.]
... Well, if you're sure. Some interesting novel, if it makes you dream stuff like that.
You had me worried there for a second. I don't really trust all that food they have around here. It's too convenient for there to not be some kind of a catch to it. But whatever, maybe I'm just thinking too much about it. If half of Somarium hasn't keeled over because of the food by now, it's probably decently safe.
Ah, yes it is! The story is about people living in 'space'! It's quite different and interesting!
[She frowns slightly]
I've never heard of anyone getting sick because of the food here, Rita!....Have you eaten ever since you arrived here? [here, have a crease of worry in Estelle's forehead]
Repede? He's living with me ever since Yuri....went back home.....
[There it is with that whole 'space' thing again. Well, at least Estelle seems to understand the concept better than she does. She should ask about it, one of these days. Oh, but Estelle's question and frown catches her attention. May or may not being acting tsun for the sake of hiding that twinge of guilt here.]
Didn't I tell you before? Eating is just a waste of time. There are so many things I need to get done here, that I probably wouldn't have time anyway, even if I needed it. Which I don't, and if I don't have to do it, then so much the better, right?
[A pause.]
No, no. I wasn't talking about the mut- dog dog. The... weird blue, talking, surfing dog. The one you met here. I mean, say what you will about Repede, but he can't be qualified for surfing. I think that the first requirement for that is actually like the water.

What the hell did you eat before you went to bed?

I...well...hum...I mean!....
[shifts uncomfortably and blinks in surprise at the question]
I had....hum.....some stew, why?

Me. It was Yuri's recipe. I don't think so. No, I had water.
I'm all right, Rita! Please, this is just a dream....I...hum....the idea must have come from the novel I'm reading!
[That's a plausible explanation, right?]
