Fon artes? Core gald value? Sorry, little lady, I don't really know what you're talking about.
But yeah, Materia's pretty value. Pretty damn useful, too. There are different kinds. Some can cast spells (offensive or defensive, depending on the type), call Summons, boost stats you already have - like speed or health.
The potion's for healing, actually. Though if you want something like that, you'd be better off with a Cure materia. You can use that over and over again, and if you raise its level, you can heal stuff more effectively than with a potion.
Develop...? Uh. no, sorry. ^^;;; Besides, you're already cute enough the way you are now! Why'd you want to change? D:
