It's been little more than a week since Camelot was put back in order since everything was turned upside down by Morgana. It's been a busy time, so busy in fact that this day has crept up on Arthur.
Obviously he knew it was going to happen, that's why he asked Guinevere to marry him! And if the past months have shown Arthur anything, it's the importance of not waiting around, one never knew what life would throw at you.
So here he is, on the morning of his wedding, more nervous then he ever has been in his whole life. Merlin has run off somewhere so Arthur is alone with his thoughts.
And at that moment he catches something out the corner of his eye.
Unbelievable, Merlin forgot! It's Guinevere's bouquet, the one Arthur had gone out to pick, it had taken him a good half a day! Now his beloved wasn't even going to be able to carry it?
Merlin is just...bloody useless.
There's traditions of course, about not seeing one's intended before the wedding, but who else is going to deliver it? Besides, Arthur's perfectly capable!
So bouquet in hand...off he goes!
