It's the "he's not used to talking to so many people" thing, like you want everybody to go easy on him 'cause he doesn't know any better. Sounds like you're talking about a pet to me.

Maybe you're right. But I didn't mean for it to come out sounding like that. It's just that back in our world, most people can't talk to him. Being able to talk so many people like this really is new for him.
