Um, any further details on why these two types of vehicles are sucky?
I'm thinking Ford is another model I'll check out before I make my final selection.
I'm just not coordinated enough to have a car with 3 pedals when I only have 2 feet. What does that say for my abilities in bed, well usually, there's usually only one part that looks kinda like a pedal and I try not to step on it.
Well, for a start, they both have pretty crappy resale values, Mitsibishi is on it way out anyway, and Hyundai cars in general are just not all that great.
I dont know if VW or Seat are particulary accessible over ther,e but the new VW Jetta or the Seat Leon are both something pretty special.
As for Ford and GM, the new Focus and Astra are pretty good. Get a Focus in 2.0 auto, and its pretty pokey, along with an Astra in 1.8 SRI.

If you want a car thats the cheap to run and mainain, get one made by GM or Ford.
Also, its not a real car if it doesn't have a clutch ;-)

In the 10-15k range, I'd look very closely at the Scions, which are actually made by Toyota and thus promise to be extremely trouble-free.

Saturns shall be summarily removed from my list
