It was the first day of school today, and potentially the first day of my last year of proper studying. *sigh ( Read more... )

You update more frequently than I do for sure lmao. I am so bad. It makes me want to kick and scream and just. URGH.

So far it is, we've barely discussed it, but it's a lot of looking at how words create an identity of a person really. Also looking at how language on the internet has changed due to all the different languages people use affecting the way we 'speak' on the net. I hope it continues to be interesting. XD

LOL. Exactly. My degree is so out there, there's not many jobs directly linked to it. LMAO I think my grammer is too crappy to even consider editing something, heck I can't even edit my fics and posts! xD

Thanks for the input though bb!

How you doin?

I think we've all been posting everything on Twitter anyway, so blogs seem rather redundant now. I mean we've said what we needed to say so posts seem useless. D:

Exactly. I think language as a whole is fascinating. It changes and evolves constantly, and the net is such a catalyst for it, it's like, BOOM things literally happen overnight.

YES. My degree is probably the best example. *headdesk*

Proper sleep seems to be impossible. No matter how much I sleep, I still feel tired. Why is that? D:

your classes sound amazing, indeed. :D
Just, because I don't know your university system, how did you get to choose them? Do you have all the possibilities in the world to mix and match whatever you like?

Anyway, good luck with your last year of studying! Enjoy it!! :)

(hm, I'm not really the one to talk when it comes to career advices, but maybe take a look at all the subjects you've already studied and then make a list with all possible careers you could take on based on these studies? Maybe this could help ...)

I hope they are as amazing as they sound! XD

Our system is such that we have a major and we have to do a certain amount of classes of our declared major throughout our course of study. Added to that, we need to take a few classes outside our major as well, for so called breadth learning. Each semester, classes are open, and we have to plan what we want to take, and then we bid for them. So you can basically plan your academic life by yourself as long as you fulfill your major requirements as well as the breadth requirements.

....it's totally confusing. Took me a while to get it! >_<

Thanks love! (.....I hope I'll enjoy it lmao)

Yeah, I'll probably have to do something like that, but I think it'll make me end up with really random stuff or nothing at all. XD

Haha, it seems lately that most people from my flist (me included) have trouble updating^^ We've all become twitter-fied xD

Oooh, wow, your modules sound amazing! I'm kinda jealous now^^ Especially about the Media Writing and Film Studies modules. Tsk, watching a movie each week, such a chore^^ Sure you can do that? :P
Though it sucks that Forensic Science is so damn late but I'm sure it'll be worth it, it sounds pretty damn interesting :)

Eh, I wish I could help you with what you're gonna do once you're done. I can understand that you don't want to go into teaching though^^ That actually was one of the major reasons why I never studied. Everything I was interested in would've most likely ended with me becoming a teacher and God, no!
I agree with Grace, you should make a list :P I'm sure there's some way to find out what kind of jobs you can do with the modules you've been studying and then you can see what appeals to you the most.

And wifey! We really haven't been talking to each other enough lately! I miss you! *huggles*

LOL YES. We post everything we want to say on Twitter so LJ-ing seems so redundant since we've said everything we need to say XD ( ... )

We do, don't we? xD All my important LJ friends are on Twitter as well so they already always know what's going on... Plus, I'm too lazy for making long and detailed LJ posts^^ It's much easier to post the occasional 140 words Tweet^^

I HATE IT TOO! *clings*

Ha, I bet it's gonna be more interesting than my office job^^ Man, I would've loved to go studying... *sighs*
Yeah, the Media Writing course sounds like a lot of work but it's writing and you're great at that so hopefully it won't be that bad :)

Let's just hope you guys watch good movies^^ Haha, awww, poor wifey! xD But I have to ask, what exactly are you gonna learn in Film Studies?

Hmm, I'm sure you'll be able to find something :) And talking to your professors seems like a great idea!

I wish that too... But hey, at least I'll be coming to Singapore for a while next year (hopefully xD) and then we'll be around each other for about a month (at least that's what I want) and then you'll probably be so sick of me you'll be glad when I go back to Germany^^ I CAN'T WAIT!
