How about when revolution makes things worse? Like the French one, that killed a lotta people. I mean, I ain't an expert or anythin', but it seems t'me they might'a been better off stayin' with Louie.

The French Revolution ended the stagnation of the country. While it did give Napoleon the chance to become Emperor, it is undeniable that he turned France from a failing country back into a world super power.

Yeah, that's a good point. I guess I prefer the revolutions that ain't so messy. Wasn't there an English one--I forget the name, but some guy got kicked out after he ran the country into the ground, uh... When they got ridda James the second, and nobody really got hurt, for a change.

The Civil War started for two main reasons. Northern America was anti-slave and southern America was pro-slavery. So the war was fought over slavery but part of that issue was that southern America believed that the central American government detracted from the rights of the states themselves, primarily the right of each state to choose whether it should own slaves or not.
