That's odd. The fish don't seem to be biting today. Perhaps it's the bait? Or are there any fish out there? I should probably try some dynamite. Chidori, could you bring me some?

[ooc; older Sousuke, on vacation with Chidori. Probably around 27~]

chidori, mai waifu, cursed, vacation

One more mention of dynamite and you'll become fish bait, Sousuke.

I only need half a stick. It works very effectively.

Jail would be very effective too. Maybe I should have let you go to court for all the things you did after all.

But this place doesn't have anyone else around.

Dynamite seems a little extreme, don't you think?

Actually, no. Dynamite is good for fishing, if a little illegal.

Oh~? I'm sure that Sagara-san, as a police officer, would want to adhere to the law then. At least as an example..

I'm a history teacher, not a police officer.

It seems I'm not the only person who can't quite grasp the concept of "relaxation".

You could craft a spear and try it that way. It's a good way to perfect your aim. Though I suppose if blowing everything up is ranked that high on your list of reactions, aim isn't likely a concept you find important.

Spears aren't efficient fishing tools.

On the contrary, it simply depends on where you're fishing. You have to find shallow enough water that's clear enough to see into. I've had some amount of success with that method myself. But more than that, I've heard that people find fishing more effective on boats, out on the water, rather than on a dock.

Of course, unless you're sure there's nothing important in that body of water, explosives aren't a very wise course of action to begin with. You could damage any number of underwater utilities, like power lines or the like, let alone the damage to the ecosystem.

Perhaps but fishing with a spear requires training and reflexes that most people don't have the time and energy for. That is why it is inefficient.

Well, safe to say some things never change.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean.

You're not that much different than you were all that time ago.

I must disagree.

I . . . don't think that dynamite would be a good choice.

[OoC: I haven't tagged you yet, have I? She's 24.]

It's rather efficient.

It's rather excessive.
