Awwww.... poor Blondie. As long as they lived a good life and were happy with you, then they should happy to be your organic sustenance! Not that I have animals myself that is...
Hope the event goes well for you on the weekend. If only it were a different Crown, I would have come.
So what is the difference between the goat and sheep and the roosters? I understand that it is probably due to more close contact with the bigger animals...
The sheep had been in my care for about a fortnight. The goat was one I had raised myself, and he was a pretty sweet natured thing. It needed to be done, and it was the choice I had made long before. but still....
The roosters are easier because of practise really. The first one I ever did was really hard.
*hugs* understand. And it willprobably always be a hard choice, but that is one of the things that makes you the person that we all know and love... :)
*Hugs*! Good for you that you care enough to make their transition from alive to food as peaceful as possible. Good for you that you care enough that it is hard to do.
I've only had to send lambs in though, which aren't nearly as personable and charming as baby goats.
And here I was thinking I'd finally get to meet the baby goats I was somewhat present at the birth of! Too slow. Maybe I'll get to eat them instead..... yumm.
