You run enough current on your fences to zap small animals? Not sure we're allowed to do that over here.

we generally feel pretty ill for a few hours if are well earthed and get hooked up
but it keeps the goats in nicely!
It's a bog standard 10km fence charger... charging about 2km of fence.....

I'm kind of impressed the echidna got high enough to be on top of the lowest wire... must of been delirious with illness and wandering around on hind legs *giggle*

I reckon it was down low enough for him to crawl onto it and then he got stunned, and probably died from the repeated shocks.

If your fence is killing critters, it's more than a tad over-powered.

I used our fence as an early-morning pick-me-up when I were a lad--grab the wire, touch the ground (who needs guarana?); it stopped cattle, sheep, & a very determined Clydesdale--no side-effects for me, yet (hmmm...)
