I got myself mugged Friday evening. It happened on a residential street, two blocks from a police station. Four young men just decided that I would be their entertainment for the evening

unfortunately moving away doesnt often solve the problem... there are muggers worldwide - maybe you should take up kick boxing or something to kick shit out the muggers if you see them again. :P

Going to the police would have been pointless. They just would have held me while checking for wants and warrants. I don’t have any, but why go through that? They were just generic-looking guys in generic-looking clothes, I couldn’t have possibly furnished a useful description.

I used to do Karate during my concert security days but I am too old for that now. In any case, resisting when you are outnumbered can just make matters worse.

I hear that Glasgow is even worse than Richmond in this respect. Life goes on.

Thanks Dear. My bruises have healed, I no longer look like Rocky Raccoon. Had a touch of ptsd for a few days but that is over now too. And I got rid of that gf in the bargain.
