It was more than that making me feel strange, though. Here I was again, having sex with a woman who I didn't even think really liked me, and we'd got down to it after beating the crap out of each other. Well, more of the crap came from my side, cos Illyria is bloody tough, but my point still stood. I thought I'd left some of that behind me when I'd got my soul back. But I guess I'll never get all the demon out of me. I just... I don't want things to end up the way they did with Buffy. I couldn't deal with that again. And I have to admit, I'm still not over her. I turned around quickly, my eyes fixated on Spike. The feeling of annoyance at being startled quickly melted away at mere sight of him. The feeling perturbed me but only for a moment.
I tilted my head slightly as a wave of memories of our previous encounter filled me. It was most unexpected, but not as uninvited as I had thought it would be.
"Spike," I said making my way towards him, and closing the gap that lay between us. "Here to teach me more about the world?" I asked.
I turned my attention back into the hallway that I had come from, and then turned and looked past him at the people around us. No one seemed to pay any attention to us, our presence to them didn't matter in the least.
"The humans in this place... they show no regard for us. We could crush them if we chose to, we are stronger then they are and yet, they show no regard. I find that irritating, as well as when they speak in hushed voices behind closed doors. A house of death, it's what this place is."

"Dunno, pet. Seemed we had quite a good lesson earlier," I said, smirking slightly. Wasn't quite sure how to deal with the whole post-shagging thing. Humour was probably safest, though it might piss off Her Majesty. One never knew with Illyria.
